Mum to one four-year-old and professional toy tester. 😄 I’m always looking for learning toys that are genuinely worth having around, and cosmetics that can survive busy mornings, school runs, and everything in between. If it earns a spot in our home, it’s earned it.

How Kylie judges

I start with the ingredient list and the claim on the front, and I check whether the two agree. Most of what separates a good product from an expensive one is concentration and formulation, not the hero ingredient everyone puts on the box. I weigh results and how something wears through a real day above everything else, and I discount packaging almost entirely — a beautiful pump that clogs at the halfway mark is worse than a plain tube that does not. With anything for children I look hardest at whether it holds attention past the first week, because a toy that is played with twice is money spent on nothing however well it is made.
