How Tyler judges
I care about whether something holds up under sustained real use rather than how it demos. For anything with a spec sheet I look for the number the manufacturer chose not to publish, because that is usually the one that matters. I weigh reliability and build quality heavily and features lightly — most products fail at a hinge, a switch or a firmware update, not at a missing feature. I discount reviews from the first fortnight, mine included in spirit: the interesting failures show up at month six.
